Set in the secluded northernmost part of the Triades area on the west coast of Milos, The Sanctuary is MEKTIMA S.A.'s vision for a retreat-style hotel, designed as a place of profound peace, introspection, and rejuvenation. Enveloped by a dramatic natural landscape that includes the iconic Diamond Rock, the historic Chapel of St. Nicolas, and untouched terrain shaped by time, The Sanctuary is conceived as a haven where guests can escape the noise of daily life and reconnect with themselves and nature.

With a design philosophy that emphasizes minimal intervention, The Sanctuary is carefully integrated into the rugged landscape, preserving its untouched beauty while creating a space that enhances well-being. The accommodations, inspired by traditional cave dwellings, are embedded into the rock formations, providing guests with a private and immersive connection to the environment. Each room is designed as a contemplative retreat, offering individual entrances and spectacular views over the Aegean.

At the heart of The Sanctuary is its Meditation Hall, an architectural masterpiece positioned at the base of the Diamond Rock, bridging the natural landscape and serving as a space for silent reflection, yoga, and guided meditation. A ring of vertical columns encloses this circular structure, creating a space of serenity where guests can feel embraced by the land itself.

The Eatery and Kitchen reinterprets the experience of communal dining, with a design reminiscent of monastic gatherings. Meals are prepared with locally sourced ingredients and cooked over wood fire, creating a deep connection between nourishment, tradition, and shared experiences. The outdoor dining pavilion, framed by towering olive trees, allows guests to enjoy meals in a setting that blends seamlessly with nature.
