Project Description

The Okeanos Office Block is a commercial property developed by MEKTIMA S.A. and designed by Photiadis Architecture, located in the Ilissia district of Athens on Michalakopoulou Avenue. Completed in 1998, the project occupies a full city block of 1,900 sq.m. in a strategic location just off the Athens CBD ring, near Ampelokipoi Square, the Holiday Inn, and the refurbished Hilton Hotel.

The site originally housed auxiliary operations of the Hotel Grande Bretagne and was fully redeveloped by MEKTIMA into a modern office building. The property spans 15,000 sq.m., with 7,000 sq.m. of above-ground office space distributed across eight floors and a mezzanine, and 8,000 sq.m. of underground space across five basement levels.
Designed with the operational needs of Alpha Insurance and Alpha Bank in mind, the building features efficient layouts and functional infrastructure suited for corporate use. The architectural concept emphasizes clean lines and a strong street presence, combining a solid upper mass with a transparent ground level to create a balanced visual identity.
Today, the Okeanos Office Block remains a fully operational and centrally located commercial asset within Athens’ established business district.
